What's in a name? The Komondor

One of a series about the large, white, livestock guardian dogs (LGD) of Europe.

From:  The Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), the World Canine Organization, founded in 1911.

The Komondor is a livestock guardian dog in Hungary.

"There is a mystic quality, something primeval, about a Komondor guarding its home ground....My view is that the Hungarian sees in the Komondor strength and Hungarianness."*
