February memory

This is my Kuvasz Dori meeting a Hungarian man in Minneapolis in February 1996. He was not like other Hungarians we've met who see Dori and say, cautiously, while standing several feet away, "They're nice if they're raised right" or "I'll just stand over here and admire her from here." This Hungarian man was happy to see Dori and give her a pat, and she was happy to see him.

About the family of Livestock Guardian Dogs...

“To this day flocks are guarded in the hills of Asia, Europe and Africa* by powerful, robust dogs that are neither clumsy nor pacific. Despite the distances that separate them these breeds have much in common, and the Kuvasz is a member of this extended sheepdog family.”
