KuvaszWorld -- a new Kuvasz FB group --- "if your heart skips a beat when you see kuvasz!"

Beatrix and Kinga in Hungary started this new FB page.

"One of the heydays of the kuvaszok was a period when tens of thousands of Hungarian, highly popular gray cattle were taken to livestock fairs in Western Europe. On the thousands of kilometers long road, at risk from thieves and wild animals, the brave kuvaszok accompanied and protected the marching herds.

"We curiously asked a kuvasz fan, who works with 300 cattle in Hungary about how the kuvaszok work alongside a herd today. He believes that the work of a good kuvasz is equal to the work of ten people. You will soon be able to read here how exactly he sees the value of kuvasz and why he thinks it is worthwhile for livestock keepers to work with the kuvaszok.

"Get in touch with us if you can talk about your kuvasz from the heart, or if your heart skips a beat when you see kuvasz! Whether you work with your kuvasz or keep it as a family member, contact us on our Facebook page"

About the family of Livestock Guardian Dogs...

“To this day flocks are guarded in the hills of Asia, Europe and Africa* by powerful, robust dogs that are neither clumsy nor pacific. Despite the distances that separate them these breeds have much in common, and the Kuvasz is a member of this extended sheepdog family.”
