The "Kuvasz flop" is also the "Pyr flop" and the "Kom flop"

Gino shares his picture of Max, a young Komondor, who has learned early the way of "the flop."

Remember Kato, the Great Pyrenees, who utterly refused to move while on a hike in Colorado? Click here to see his post:

Susie pointed out a comment someone made on a Komondor group FB page that I thought was interesting.

"My guy did this after about 40 minutes in his first hour long training session. All the other dogs had to walk around him. He got tired. But the trainer said he wasn't physically tired, he was mentally tired. They're on duty all the time, every single thing they look at is evaluated to see if it's a danger or not."

About the family of Livestock Guardian Dogs...

To this day flocks are guarded in the hills of Asia, Europe and Africa* by powerful, robust dogs that are neither clumsy nor pacific. Despite the distances that separate them these breeds have much in common, and the Kuvasz is a member of this extended sheepdog family.”
