Donatello

Heini of Iipanaapan Kenneli in Finland shares this photo of her son, peeking from behind her, and her Kuvasz puppy Donatello.

This photo showcases the characteristic pigmentation of the Kuvasz:

“The colour of the coat is a uniform white, while an ivory tinge is acceptable.”*

“The skin has dark pigmentation....The colour of the skin under the hair is also slate grey, best seen on the belly, where the hair is less thick than on the rest of the body.... The nose, the eyelids and the lips are always black...."
“The slanting eyes are special, quite unlike those found in any related kind....The eyes are medium, slightly oblique, almond shaped....The eyes are either dark brown or black. The eyelids are black. Their expression reflects strength and courage....The eyes must not be horizontal but set obliquely with tight rims.”**
