My focus is on the Kuvasz, the traditional Hungarian dog still bred to ancient standards, as described by the FCI and traditional standards, not modern or non-Hungarian breed club rules.

Polish Tatra are an LGD breed, and so I refer to them as a Kuvasz "cousin."
