Skull shape from over 1,000 years ago

This photo is from Dr. Tibor Buzády's book, Dogs of Hungary.

"The skull [on the left] found at Fenekpuszta in 1978 may be decisive. Dating back to the arrival of the Hungarians in Hungary in 896 A.D., this proves that the breed has been among the Hungarians for 1,100 years."
The skull on the right is a "present-day Kuvasz skull."
Below are modern day Kuvasz heads in profile to show the skull shape.
