A Day in the Life -- This blog is about a day in the life of our beloved ancient Kuvasz living in today's modern world.
This blog, in conjunction with KUVASZ FANCIERS OF AMERICA, is an independent service to all the Kuvasz of the world! My focus is on the Kuvasz, the traditional Hungarian dog still bred to ancient standards, as described by the FCI and traditional standards, not modern or non-Hungarian breed club rules.
Please send emails and photos for the blog to AMY.ELFTMANN@GMAIL.COM.

Pastoral dogs at show
These are Hungary's native pastoral dog breeds posing at a show.
Pastoral dogs are those that work with livestock, such as sheep and cattle, either herding or guarding. This is in contrast to the hunting dogs, such as the Vizsla.
