This blog, in conjunction with KUVASZ FANCIERS OF AMERICA, is an independent service to all the Kuvasz of the world! My focus is on the Kuvasz, the traditional Hungarian dog still bred to ancient standards, as described by the FCI and traditional standards, not modern or non-Hungarian breed club rules.

Opal
Opal was, and indeed still is, a major part of breeding Kuvasz in North America. He was born in 1974 in Hungary and was imported to Canada by Charles Fabo, a native Hungarian who emigrated to Canada.
